This highly sought-after accreditation take effect from March 2020.
United States
NAHA (National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy) established in 1990. The American Holistic Aromatherapy Association is a continuation of the characteristics of British aromatherapy, with the purpose of improving the education and professional practice standards of aromatherapy. Therefore, it not only trains beginner and advanced aromatherapists, but also wants to promote the concept of true aromatherapy to the general public. Because of its freedom and openness, it has become the largest aromatherapy institution in North America. Its advantage is that it is more suitable for the popularization of aromatherapy, because the fees are not very expensive compared to other schools. Therefore, the knowledge is broad but not deep.
France
The development of French aromatherapy is more inclined to orthodox medicine. And legal aromatherapist must have orthodox medical qualifications. Essential oils are also sold in pharmacies and need to be used under conscious guidance. In addition, unlike the United Kingdom, there are aromatherapy courses in France, mainly in universities. It belongs to the training content of people with medical background, the school syllabus is basically 2-3 years. Their aromatherapy is already an auxiliary medical treatment in the hospital.
